Diles Hearing Center was founded in 1949 by William "Bill" Diles and his wife, Mary, and has been locally owned and operated since. We have offices in Athens, Chillicothe, and Jackson, OH. We pride ourselves in being a small business, which allows us to create custom solutions for our patients, fit hearing aids from a large variety of manufacturers, and provide our patients with the one-on-one attention that they deserve.
After 70 years of business, patients still surprise us sometimes with special requests for their hearing. We love a challenge. With the technology available today via bluetooth and other wireless devices, we are able to come up with a solution for almost any problem!
Our audiologists hold the highest degree, Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.). Dr. Bethany Gonczy has been a team member at Diles Hearing Center since 2010 and has owned the practices since 2014.
Dr. Kristen Mitchell, originally from Athens County, has been part of the team since 2015.
Dr. Matt Barte, also from Athens County, joined the team most recently in 2020.
Dr. Gonczy, Dr. Mitchell, and Dr. Barte take great pride in creating the best hearing possible and the best patient experience in southern Ohio!
